Casual-Dining Chains are Dead!
Hugh Osmond, the serial restaurant investor told the Financial Times last week: ‘The casual-dining chains, as was, are largely dead’. Of course, there’s nothing much new in that – I and others were saying it before the years of the pandemic.
Will there be a replacement?
But what will replace it? As my trip to the US draws to a close, I consider if we can take some lessons from across the pond.
