Some words from the Steve Slark, The BSA Chairman on Something’s Brewing September/October 2020.

Uncertain does not even begin to cover what most are feeling these days. You can be praying for a vaccine or just keeping out of harm’s way or indeed carrying on as normal. Early lockdown saw in my mind a real sense of let’s stick together and help each other…aside from those stockpiling pasta and toilet rolls!

I have been impressed with the adaptation and flexibility to meet the Covid challenges when visiting coffee shops and restaurants. But we hear in general very little of these successes and how they meet the needs of the majority. Not that the wider hospitality sector whilst going through some form of hell has innovated and adapted. These are the things that are working to keep the sector going and our spirits up.

We are building a solid core of Company membership. Thank you to all our members for their support during these challenging times. We welcome all retail café and coffee outlets to join the BSA for free until at least March 2021 and avail themselves of our magazine and our other services. You can join here.
