Origin on restaurant menus

In this week’s issue, I look at the data from DEFRA’s Family Food Survey; categories haven’t really changed since the 1970s.  But, taking what we can see, and comparing it with the evolution of what households spend on food over the last 50 years, the data shows that products with their origin on restaurant menus products outperform total expenditure, maybe (as in the case of pizza) by a country mile.
